The Details
The CPCS A57 test for Tracked Dump Trucks with a Rigid Chassis assesses an operator’s ability to safely and efficiently operate rigid dump trucks, typically used in quarrying and large-scale earthmoving. The test includes a theory assessment covering health and safety, machine controls, load management, and site procedures, followed by a practical test.
The practical involves pre-use checks, driving on varied terrain, accurate reversing, safe loading and tipping, and demonstrating full control and awareness throughout all operations.
